Are you a frequently travel to another state in your own vehicle, the new vehicle law is for you!!!

INDIA: According to the current vehicle laws in India, people who frequently move from state to state should change their vehicle registration accordingly. However, this seems to be a problem of the past. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has introduced new “BH” Series (Bharat Series) number plate/registration mark for vehicles.

This new series will help eliminate the need to change the registration when the vehicle registration owner moves from one Indian state to another state.

followed by an alphanumeric string of four numbers and two letters

So for a vehicle registered in 2021, it will be written as “21 BH 0000 AA”. However, there is a problem with this. Currently, the facility is staffed by security personnel, Central and State Government officers and four or more Available only to private sector companies located in states.

Additionally, road tax is levied only for two years at a time. However, after the completion of the 14th year, it will be levied annually. But paying only half of the pre-charged amount for the vehicle is enough.

Current regulations under Section 47 of the Motor Vehicle Act, a vehicle owner is not allowed to register the vehicle in another state for more than 12 months. If the vehicle exceeds that period, it must be renewed in a new state.

However, the process of changing the registration is long and difficult. Vehicle owner must first obtain NOC from current registration status.

Following this, a new registration number will be allotted to the vehicle after payment of road tax on a pro rata basis for the new state.

Refunds from scratch are time consuming to process. The government has yet to develop a process that can be directly managed locally from one state to another.

The new BH series will help eliminate the need to re-register the vehicle if the owner moves to another state.
