French National Day Celebration in Puducherry

On July 14, 1789, the people of Paris, the capital of France, demolished the prison through a revolution and abolished the monarchy and established a people’s government. This day is celebrated annually as the French National Day.

The entire Puducherry became a French nation on a single day on the occasion of the National Day of France.
In France, July 14th is celebrated as a national day, when the monarchy ended and the rule of the people flourished.

Along with this, a colorful procession of French Embassy was held from Puducherry Sea Road and more than 500 people participated with French & Indian flags. People who enjoyed seeing the fireworks in the sky. Around 3.km a colorful procession into the distance.

The French embassy and government buildings were decorated with colored lights like the French national flag which attracted the visitors.
