3500 kg of smuggled ration rice seized near Chintamani, Thiruparangunram India- 4 people involved in rice smuggling and cargo vehicle used for smuggling seized

After the information received by the police that ration rice is hoarded in Rajaman Nagar, near the Tamil Nadu Housing Board residence under Keeraithura Police Station, Madurai City.

A special team led by Southern Gate Assistant Commissioner Shanmugam caught the people who were illegally storing 3500 kg of ration rice sacks in rice mill godown in Rajaman Nagar after being dispatched by the Keeraithura police. Ration belongs to Kamarajapuram, involved in rice smuggling

Krishnamurthy, Karthikumar, Sundarapandi, and Vellachamy from Chandapet were also handed over to the Civil Supply Crime Investigation Department (CSCID) police in possession of the ration rice wrapper and the vehicle used for smuggling.
