Ayodhya Bathing incident in Sarayu River: People are enraged by the man who kissed his wife, the mob dragged the man out and assaulted him.
Ayodhya: In Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, a youth was assaulted for kissing his wife in public. The video of the incident is going viral on social media.
A man who was kissing his wife on the lips in public was pushed aside and abused by a mob. After that, I beat him up and down. “Such insults will not be tolerated in Ayodhya,” one person was quoted as saying in the video.
As the husband was attacked, the woman tried to save him. But that is not possible. A mob in the water kicked and assaulted the couple. The incident took place at Ram Ki Baidi in Ayodhya. The mountain range on the banks of the Sarayu is called Ram Ki Badi. Others who were taking a holy bath there got enraged for playing in the water and attacked them.
The Ayodhya Police informed that the authorities have been ordered to investigate the incident and take necessary legal action.
“Inspector of Kotwali Ayodhya Police Station has been ordered to investigate and take necessary legal action,” the Ayodhya Police Department tweeted.
Sarayu is one of the many tributaries of the river Ganges. It is considered a sacred river by Hindus. Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, is situated on the banks of the Sarayu River.
This video is a week old. No complaint has been received regarding this incident so far. SSP Shailesh Pandey said the police are making efforts to find out where the couple is currently residing and whether they intend to take any action.
